Markie Silverman, Ph.D.

Current Position: General Member

Dr. Markie Silverman is the Associate Director of Mental Health Promotion, Community Engagement, and Access at University of Michigan  Counseling & Psychological Services (UM CAPS). She provides strategic leadership for mental health promotion, oversees peer programs, co-chairs the JED Campus initiative, and serves on the Well-being Collective Steering Committee. Previously, she was a staff psychologist and group coordinator at Michigan State University, developing over 30 groups per semester and embedding services across campus to reduce access barriers. Dr. Silverman holds doctoral and master’s degrees in clinical psychology and is a licensed psychologist, certified group psychotherapist, and AUCCCO board member.
